OpenAI Co-Founder Ilya Sutskever’s AI Start-Up Raises $1Billion
The Veroneus: According to Reuters, Ilya Sutskever, co-founder of OpenAI, has raised $1 billion for his project called Safe Superintelligence (SSI) following his departure from OpenAI in May.
The Details:
In his work Sutskever stresses the importance of working towards superintelligence with a strong focus, on ensuring safety and security while avoiding the influence of commercial interests.
Some known backers of SSI are Sequioa Capital, DST Global and SV Angel along, with other investors.
SSI was established by Daniel Gross and Daniel Levy who used to work at OpenAI; they run operations from Palo Alto, in California and Tel Aviv in Israel.
SSI intends to dedicate an amount of time to research and development before introducing its products to the market while highlighting its dedication to safety and adherence, to human values.
