How to Activate ‘Artifacts’ Feature

In order to use the ‘Artifacts’ feature, it has to be turned on in Claude. Here is how you can do it:

  1. Click your initials in the bottom left corner of the Claude interface.

  2. Choose 'Feature Preview' from the dropdown.

  3. In the Feature Preview settings, enable the Artifacts option.

Once you enable artifacts, you can start using them in your conversations with Claude. If you ever want to disable this feature, you can easily do so from the same menu. The kind of experience you get depends on your subscription level. Those with the Claude Pro and Team plans enjoy higher rate limits and access to more advanced features.

How to Use ‘Artifacts’ Feature

Now suppose that you’ve activated ‘Artifacts’ and you would like to use them. To use this feature of Claude’s, you have to prompt the things that can lead the AI models to activate this feature such as charts, documents illustrations, diagrams, and more. Once activated, Claude generates an Artifact that appears in a panel on the right side of the chat interface, allowing you to easily view, copy, edit, and build upon the content. To show an example, let’s try a business people use case and write a prompt. Here is a prompt that can lead to generate ‘Artifact’:

Furthermore, one of the great features of Claude is that you can edit it the way you want. For example, you can change the colors of the charts or fix any issues if they occur.
